hi i was diagnosed a year ago with hashimito disease the problem have been that the symptoms that i been having is addison disease. when i was diagnosed with hashimito i was hospitalized five times due to dehydration the problem that i had a lot of fluid and still dehydrated then also the shakiness. after a year i have to been drinking gatorade to hydrated myself ,if i dont i fall again to the hospital for dehydration. my symptoms have dark pigmentation in my skin, muscle weakness, nausea, shakinness low sugar also i get severe abdominal pain mostly belly also in my kidney . i been trying to get my doctor to test me but they don't want to .so i decided to buy a saliva hormone testing for the cortisol i want to known if this test good to diagnosed cortisol level. also is there anyone that known a good testing for cortisol bye

You can get blood drawn for cortisol, but its got to be early, or you can do a 24hour urine collection, ive never done the saliva test but have heard they are very good, but dont know, ive done the blood draw and the 24hour urine collection,
I have just started the gatorade i think its great. Helps me to not get headaches. I have a problem with my potassium and electrolytes, etc
I have a problem with my thyroid , graves disease.
Good luck with your cortisol, mine was too high, but the doctors dont like playing with the adrenals, and my gp just shunned it off.
