pheochromocytoma--fainting spells when standing up, migraines ang heat sensation are symptoms?

hi, my doc requested a 24 hour urine metanephrine based on my complaints of fainting spells when standing up, persistent migraines (sometimes w/ aura), headaches, hot sensations, fatigue. but i don't have hypertension.  the urine test was so expensive, is there another test to also confirm this disease?

btw, im diagnosed with hashimoto thyrditis a month ago, doc says the thyroid has nothing to do with the migraines. is it true?

Your BP is actually a bit on the lower side (docs like to say that is normal, but low can make you a bit dizzy and tired).

It could be hormones, it could be autonomic - but you need testing.

my BP is normal ranges from 90/60 - 110/70.  my endo hasnt taken my BP standing yet.

i read about POTS, the symptoms i have them. i do get dizzy when fatigued. i get heartburns fr acid reflux. etc. it all occur to me the hormones are responsible for all my symptoms.

i didnt get full hormone test yet, but im planning to get one.

thank you'

I would also see a cardiologist and get a tilt-table test - perhaps you have POTS. Do you have hypotension - low BP? Did they take your BP sitting and standing?

Those with hashimoto's may or may not have migraines - but often those with hormonal imbalances are more prone, so eh, it is not direct, but there is a relation that is sort of there, but migraines happen in a lot of people without hashimoto's too.

Did you get a full hormonal work up?
