What sorts of supports do you have? Do you have family and friends? Working with any therapists, etc? Changing your outlook on life can be a difficult task, but is easier if you have support. Try a little more each day to consciously work on your outlook. I know it sounds corny, but TELL yourself that you are going to thrive, no matter what life throws at you. If you are on meds, take them even if you are feeling well...chances are they are what's made you feel well. If you are a person of faith, use that to lift you up as well.

The people you surround yourself is important too - stick close to positive people and spend less time with negative people. Whether anyone likes to admit it or not, the people you spend time with DO rub off on you, good or bad. So choose upbeat people to spend your time with. Remind yourself that you ARE strong enough to do this...you may need to remind yourself alot, but that's ok.

This works for the physical issues as well. Do be sure that you are addressing the physical and emotional issues and are comfortable with your treatment team. If you feel you are not receiving good care, address that. If there is no change, you have the right to find a new doc or specialist who will work with you.

Most importantly do NOT give up.

Keep us posted. Let me know if you need more.
