Haven't been out of town in 3 years. Sick of it.
I've been a full blown agoraphobe for 3 years. Had some phobias before that, but I was able to do most everything. Now I am only comfortable driving to places with no traffic around my house. Facebook is killing me. I see all my friends post pics of places they go. I'm sick of not going and want to go too. Should I just say, "screw it, I'm gonna go no matter what?" I'll probably panic multiple times and hate the trip but maybe that's what I need to do. My Dr. prescribed me Ativan. I could also take that on the trip. I wish there was a way I could learn to relax and enjoy trips without meds however. I asked my Dr which option is better----trip with or without meds. His answer was vague.
