internal tremors from lexapro?

internal tremors from lexapro?

I have been on lexapro 20 mg for a few years now, i have recently been having really bad anxiety etc. so my dr told me to start taking 40mg , since starting the 40 mg I have had these constant internal tremors mostly in my arms and chest but sometimes in my legs. this is making my anxiety worse. I stopped the 40mg i was taking for a week and went back to 20mg a day but have still had these tremors for a week since stopping the 40 mg. These tremors scare me and make my anxiety worse, I went to the er and my blood test was fine, heart was fine. Is the lexapro causing this and how long till these feelings go away? Help thanks!

Maybe it is time for a change of medication. Maybe the lexapro has just stopped working for you. That can happen with various types of medication. I would discuss this with my doctor. See what he has to say about it. Probably end up putting you on a new form of medication.
