Hi there and welcome! I'm happy to read you son is trying to get off alcohol! There are a couple of forums here that specifically deal with alcohol problems! Maybe he just doesn't know what to do with his time? Does he work? school? something? He needs to go and get a check up, get blood work etc. to rule out a few things, he may just be depressed, he needs to try coping tools like getting busy living, not dying....
