40 days clean

Wow! I think you have got a truly inspiring story for everyone trying to find some ways to be clean. Even you story, I think, will encorage those who are already clean for a few days or weeks. You told about the stress. No matter, you will not feel that heat in a few more days because you have been a hero who know how to conquer. I wish you the best of luck.

Didn't see this until today! I'm really happy for you and glad you are able to stay strong during a testing period. You definitely have kept me motivated to be a better person for myself and those around me. You're awesome!

I am so grateful for the folks of AA who mentored me in my early days...and for the oldtimers w/GOOD recovery who provided me with much food for thought!I would not have achieved my time had it not been for them for I had NO sober friends and overall my family was not supportive minus my mom, who is gone now:( and my one brother.So grateful for him!When i got all balled up in my head back then...well do now from time to time..it was comforting to hear the strength and wisdom of others who had been where I was and LISTEN to how they pushed thru it!You will find that as time goes on, remaining sober is quite the challenge for life being life is always full of unexpected curve balls!

Something to keep you accountable.
Involvement from folks other than just family. Putting people in our lives who have been thru the same things. AA, counselors, pastor, church group, anyone who you can talk to, lean on when that desire to drink comes back around.
You're doing great! I wish you well!
