AA Rooms

I have been in and out of the rooms for a few years - everyone talks about "The Promises" Don't know why I can't grasp/embrace AA - I know I haven't given it my full efforts - I know I can't do it alone.  I hate alcohol.

Aren't they talking about the 12 steps?  The best thing you could do for yourself right now is read the 12 step book.   I have read it through once and intend to keep reading it.
The answers to help us are in that book.  Get a sponsor to help you.  I am waiting for this woman to return from a trip and then I am asking her to be my sponsor.  I went early on Tuesday specifically to ask her and was told she was out of state.  We all, I believe need help or 99% of us anyway.  Keep reaching out.  Go to therapy.  I do that also.  Do you have close friends that will support and encourage you? That is so important as well.  Don't give up.  Help is out there.  I wish you the best. TJ

don't concern urself with the promises of AA...just focus on not drinking!u need a sober support system!if not AA then another support group!
