Alcohol Question

I'm not really an alcoholic but I have an alcohol related question.  I'm a 23 y/o somewhat overweight college student.  I drink only about once or twice every 1-2 weeks, but when I do, I drink pretty heavily(usually at least 7 drinks).  I notice that on the next day I have a dull soreness in my upper/right abdomen/rib(liver) area. What could cause this? Is this common? Also, am I doing permanant damage to my liver? P.S. - about 3 months ago I had an abdominal CT scan for a different abdominal issue and it said that I had fatty infiltration of the liver and "a small statistically benign, low attenuation lesion."
Thanks,
rr

Have you followed up with this scan?  Being that something was found on your liver, it makes perfect sense that drinking will aggravate it.

I hope you make an appt with your doc and share this with him/her.  Healthy choices now will make a huge difference in the future.

I am truly allergic to alcohol and one drink can cause me to spend 3 days in the bathroom with diarreha. If is seems to bother you, you may want to drink less or not at all.

I have a friend that is in his 20's and has a bleeding ulcer and he is that young.  Some people truly can't drink, a true allergy to alcohol.  I have pancreatitis and was a result of drinking too much.  I chose not to drink anything, the key is moderation.  If you have elevated enzymes, take a look at life without alcohol.
