Allergic to Rum

I think that I'm allergic to rum.  I drink rum and coke pretty often.  Specifically Myers or Capt. Morgan.  About a month ago I noticed that my lips were slightly swollen, and the swelling seems to correspond with days that I drink more heavily.

Has any one experienced anything like this?

I did not have the same response to drinking beer, but I am allergic to eay and one little sip can send me into the bathroom for days.

No offense meant here but this is a site for people who are trying our best to quit drinking, not recommend another type of booze.  I would guess you are allergic to rum, because i have a friend that was and is allergic to all liquor, even beer.  So HE quit and hasn't had a drink in over 20 years.  He wasn't an alcoholic but was allergic for sure.
