This is what stopped my drinking as well. Anyone actually ever have this diagnosed and know what causes it? The dizziness, off balance, etc...
You shocked your nervous system, and that offset your body's homeostasis. Seeing a doctor would be a good idea, but you'll probably have to just wait it out. Treating yourself well with lots of water and good sleep will help. Some people swear by 1-3 day fasts, but consult your doc first.
Hey Jacker,
I guess I will get some blood work to check my cbc's, kidney, and liver stuff...
Nope, I only drink like this on special occasions which usually happen about once a year. Other times I hardly touch alcohol. I may have a beer maybe once every 3 months.
No way to diagnose this stuff over the internet. With or without insurance, it's still not a bad idea to get a blood work. It might set you back a few hundred dollars out of pocket, but the clinics are cheaper and some doctors will lend a hand if they know you are not insured.
I experienced the same symptoms in 2007, and it persisted for over a month, but gradually got better as I stayed sober. It honestly marked the end of my daily drinking career because I found that the symptoms returned every time I tried drinking again (after that episode).
Drink lots of water and Gatorade, eat fruit, and don't touch a drop of alcohol. Stay away from caffeine. You should see improvement with some sober time, but you should still see a doctor.
Do you drink like this often?
