I quit drinking 12-27-11. I have never attended AA and don't really feel the need to. Lately my depression has become overwhelming and I don't know if it has anything to do with the season. What are some suggestions other than AA? Thank you.
Since you don't believe in AA for yourself, why not just work on the "overwhelming depression" that you are experiencing. I would try everything but the drugs offered first of course, because of your problems with addictions. Also, it would be a shame to quit drinking and have to take drugs to deal with it. It sort of defeats the purpose of getting sober. There are so many things you can do to address the depression in your life. I don't think it matter where the depression comes from, whether it be the season or not, it only matters that you make changes that can address it.
