High Triglycerides

I drink off/on but had been drinking in excess prior to having my blood work drawn.  My triglycerides came back high so I need to go back and have my blood drawn again.  How long after quitting drinking will my triglycerides go down to normal?

Thank you for your reply.  I am a WW and do eat healthy, ride my bike 30 minutes 6 days a week, so it is undoubtedly the drinking.  I have completedly stopped and hope by the end of the month my levels will have gone down.

I don't know specifically about drinking, but 6 months after a strict diet change mine went from borderline high to well within ideal range. I have a friend who similarly made a major diet change after having high Triglycerides and she got it down to normal in about 4 months. I didn't test mine between 0-6 months but I'm assuming a couple months after a good lifestyle change you will see the difference.
