How long will I have to take meds for alcohol withdrwal seizures

I have recently stopped drinking. I have done so in the past but went on a binge about 12 days ago. 10 days into my current sobriety and I had a seizure out of no where. (I have had them several times in the past after detoxing myself) I went to the ER and am now taking lorazapam as needed, tamazapam at night to sleep as needed and depakote 500mg x2 daily. I have taken Depakote before and went cold turkey on them after a couple of months. Now, I can't afford more than a month's worth and so I am thinking of taking the prescribed dosage for two weeks and then just one pill a day for the remainder of my prescription till I run out. In everything I have read online, seizures are suppose to come not more than 72hrs after you stop drinking. I don't understand why I would have a seizure 10 days after I stopped drinking.

How long do the withdrawal seizures last? I'm afraid to drive or even take a shower without someone nearby. I figure a month should put me in the clear but I just don't know.

If anyone else has or knows someone who has gone through this I would love any advice you could give. I can't afford a doctor right now so I am really lost and scared.
