I drank pure alcohol last night... HELP?!

I took a shot of pure 190 proof alcohol last night.  I immediately threw it up but it's the next day and I have not been able to eat anything without throwing up.  My back is killing me and I am getting cold chills.  How long will this last?  I've thrown up twice today.  I'm an idiot I know and I hate myself right now.  I've just recently drank two blocks of alka seltzer in apple juice and am waiting to see what that does for me.  Please give me some info, I'm an idiot and am suffering because of it!

i drank 1 shot of rum and like 12 or 13 budweisers

ok. it's likely that it was the buds that got ya, but mixing with the liquor didn't help. high octane booze can be very irritating to the upper gi system (my drink of choice at one time was 151 rum straight up until i passed out every night) as pure ETOH is very toxic to tissues and organs. if it were not for the liver, excessive consumption would cause a buildup of things like acetaldehyde which will make you violently ill. it also sounds as if you may have caught a bug of some type (nausea and chills) but these can also occur in alcohol withdrawal. try to keep some food down, rest and use tylenol if you get a fever. and lots of water----budweiser is a great dehydrator. hope you feel better,        gm

If its pure alcohol do you mean as in 100%? I dont understand american measurements as well, anything past 89% is poisonus and will kill you so i hope thats not what you drank.. one shot you should be okay but dont do it again.

190 proof is 95% I'm pretty sure. The sickness only lasted 24 hours, I feel fine today.
