Lithium

I am an alcoholic. A year ago I quit drinking and took Lithium for a month and stopped and was sober for 5 months. Now I am back drinking and I have some Lithium left. I want to stop drinking and the Lithium will help with withdrawls. I would like to start taking one pill a day for a week as I only have seven pills as I know it will work for me. Any reason I cannot do that?

Actually - the drug is Librium - - not lithium (whoops)...

it would be most wise to talk to the doctor who prescribed u the Librium b4 u begin taking it!
