Sympathy extended to ibizan~

Her mother passed away the other night so lets all show her what we are all about here.  She is always there for us and now it is our time to be there for her.  She is okay, relieved her mom is at peace now.  We have talked alot about her mom.  She always remembered ibizan's sobriety date and loved her greys.

ibizan, I know you will celebrate your mom's life as that is the type of person you are.  I just want you to know how much i care about you and i so understand the pain you are feeling.  Your 4 leggeds will see you thru.  Sending you comfort and hugs~

Hi Sarah!!! So I am the " bomb diggity" huh? Woohoo! You hear that Ibizan? haha

Ibizan I bet you are more like her than you give yourself credit for. I'm sorry both you and Sarah have had to go thru this. My mom also has a long list of health problems and sadly I think this is something most of us will have to face someday. Please don’t think I am making light of the experience I absolutely do not look forward to that day either. I can understand how you might feel a part of you is gone as well so I am really glad you can see that she is in a better place. You honor her well! Just know that we are here for you anytime.

I have talked to many people who have lost both parents and the one common word that comes up is Orphans....That is what it feels like now.  Your mom got to celebrate your sobriety and see what an amazing woman you are.  That is something not all our parents got to see.  That has always been one regret i have had especially with my dad as i was so messed up on pills when he passed.....

Hi rpoo!!!  You are just the bomb diggity!!

Ibizan and Sarah, you are both such wonderful ladies with such a terrific outlook on life! I think you both can make it thru anything. Ibizan I am very sorry to hear about your mom, my heart goes out to you wishing I could give you a big “bear” hug. Over the last few years I have heard you mention your feelings and concerns for your mom and I am glad that you can see she is in a better place. Everything you do here on MedHelp and your profession is all about helping people, then add in your love and compassion for our four legged friends/companions you are an amazing lady! Thanks for all that are and do! You represent/mirror “very well” what an outstanding person your mom must have been.

You have my warmest sympathy’s and most sincere regards,

Randy

I remember my mom and dad dancing at my brothers wedding.  It was the first time i had seen them doing that.  They danced as if they were on air, so graceful.  It took my breath away.  I thought i was going to make it thru today without crying but that isnt going to happen!!  The memories are flooding in.  It's a good thing as i am able to feel.

You have wonderful memories also so hang on to them in times of sadness.  Muzzle up your babies and let em run like the wind today!!

Your mom was an amazing woman and you are just like her.  Today we should be planting my mom's flowers.  Mom would be over seeing the operations!!  Dad would be making a mess with the dirt, i would be planting the flowers too close together or putting 2 of the same colors together!!!  The pots had to be spread out a certain way and then we would have to clip the flowers off as it made them heartier!  When it was all done and said the planters sat stately in the front, all the while looking like we were the Addams family as not one of them had a flower!!  I believe when they pass away they are healthy again so hopefully she is planting her flowers today.

Indeed it is dear! You know the relief i feel...but also like a part of me has died.I know...as do you who've gone b4 me with this...that it will heal and new growth will take its place.Sure feels nice NOT to use our old coping mechanisms of the drink/or drug...there is no desire for that. Now I pray....help me to be 1/2 the woman my mom was....whole would be ideal! She had ginormous strength to endure the many challenges she encountered in her life!Hope you day is blessed w/those u love....the 2 legged and the 4!

Oh my cyberfriend in recovery THANK YOU so much for these kind words!I'm so relieved her suffering is over.No one human should have to endure what she did.She suffered emotional, mental, verbal and sexual abuse from her father ,and in 1925 girls didn't talk @ this and she was punished by her mother for LYING!Her role models for parenting were her grandparents who raised her for a short time until she was 10.They passed and she was sent to live with cousins. She scrubbed the floors of wealthy folks to put herself thru nursing school. She was one strong woman and i and my siblings were BLESSED to have her as a mother! The best cook, chauffeur, listener, housekeeper, cheerleader a child could ever have! The Lewy Body Dementia robbed her of a brilliant mind and the cancer took what was left.I'm reliving my good memories of her...and I have a TON!Thank You my dearest Sarah! And oh yes...the dogs are hovering over me!:)best therapists ever!:)
