This inspired me

I quit sniffing paint because of this poem

How funny love is,
a promise made to start things new,
and a lie spoken to make a love true.

Am i selfish to tell you what you need to hear,
to embrace you with untrue words only to make you happy,
any cost to have you hear with me.

Deceit started this affair,
but in the end inst the love worth it?
or is it me being so desperate.

this dark secret can tear us apart,
but is it better to be separated for truth,
or stay together for lack of proof.

Let this one secret keep,
its not worth the loneliness and the tears,
I promise to be true to you for the rest of our years.
