alcohlism

i have been drinking everynight for 4 years and want to give up, is there any help to do this. i havent had a drink for 2 days now and it is going well so far but it will get harder can anybody advise me wot to do gor the best.

Hi and thanks for posting.  Good job reaching out for help.  The one thing I quickly realized was that I couldn't do this on my own.  I needed outpatient therapy and I still regularly attend AA mtgs.  So far I am sober and happy.  I've got some great friends who help me keep my head straight, especially when the tough times hit.  Having someone to call when my head gets to thinking I'd like to drink helps out a lot.  If it wasn't for sober friends and the phone I'd probably be drunk.  If you are interested and willing to go to an AA mtg let me know.  Hopefully we can find one near you.  Good luck you can do this!!!!

I agree with pumpkinhead0126, get a support network of people around you, people who understand.

AA is a good place to start, the ONLY requirement for AA membership is a desire to STOP drinking.
