There is some really good sobriety in this forum.I used to love LOA's but we were never allowed 2 go home..just a pass off hospital grounds.Wishing u a good holiday season...sober/clean/more sanity and remember we r here for u!please keep us posted!
Thanks for your input. No, I don't have access to a computer in treatment! I am home on a 3 day pass. It's nice to come up for air once in a while. It's always inspiring to hear from people who have been clean for as long as you and others have been. Signing off now for a few weeks...
I've been sober/clean for 24 years and was told this in 1983 as well.I think it is a scare tactic..many over the counter products have small amounts of alcohol in them as preservative.I work in the treatment field and many of my clients submit to random drug screens.Alcohol isn't even on a lab panel screen for drugs for its picked up ONLY by a breathalyzer!Drug screens show up drugs that is all!I use mouthwash with alcohol, its the only thing that kills germs and do not drink it for a buzz!I hate it when treatment professionals tell patients this ****.It is false! It is very hard to find products totally alcohol free...u'd have to go to an organic market for these and those products are very pricey!U have access to the internet in rehab?wow..things have come a long way since the 80's but then i guess i'm just an old recovering dinosaur!:))))))))
I am currently in treatment for drug and alcohol addiction. When I return to my community I will have to undergo random urine screens for drugs and alcohol for 5 years. I have been told at my treatment center that products containing alcohol can cause a urine drug screen to show positive.
alcohol levels in bloodstream are callibrated by a breathalyzer not by urine screens!who is telling u this?very misinformed!i don't know of a website akin to what ur looking for!
