can anyone support me?

im 18 and have not gone more than about four hours without drinking in the last 2 years i wake up ill and it breaks up my relationships at the moment i drink mostly cider(cos its cheap) i understand what its doing to me and my family etc but i dont have the willpower to stop also my doctor said that i would have to be supervised but im scared to stop and im scared to carry on too cos ive started drinking spirits on top almost every day too
id appriciate any advice from people whove got through it or people in similar situations

It saddens me when I read posts like this one. You are so young and have so much to look forward to. Already this disease has taken hold of you.

The think the best avenue for you is to go into inpatient rehab. There you will not only get sober, but they will teach you how to stay sober. That is the hard part. You will the tools to learn how to live life without the use of alcohol..or any drug. And with some work on your part, you will get to the issues that are causing you to want to drink to cover up your feelings.

I hope that you are considering this option. Please keep posting and let us know how you are doing.

there is a reason that you are drinking and i am not going  to be foolish enough to ask you why you drink you are so young if you could only see how the young are dying and have so many health problems but i agree with IBKleen you do need to get into rehab as soon as possible It will be a whole new world to see and enjoy when you see it with clear eyes

I agree with IB kleen and jo..i went to inpatient 24 years ago did AA/NA wouldn't b here now typping this if not for all that.....u have serious problem!hope u seriously address it!

Willpower has nothing to do with quitting drinking.  Alcohol is cunning and it has destroyed you physically, mentally and spiritually.  That is why your relationships are disintergrating in front of you.  If you continue, you won't be able to go 4 minutes without a drink and four hours will seem like an eternity.  The good news is that you can get better, just like everyone is suggesting.  Its not easy and its a tough fight but you are young.  I am sure that deep inside you do not want this life that alcohol has created for you.  I say that because you are powerless now.  Alcohol is controlling you and you don't even know it.  Recovery is not scary nor is rehab.  If it were so bad no one would be sober. You CAN have a good life filled with fun times, good friends, family and a bright future.  Alcohol doesn't want you to have those things.  Please choose life.  Keep us posted always.

i know where ur at...was there 2 a long time ago!i know at ur age ur friends r very important to u...well er ur partying buds.....these people were not around when i decided to quit....they were around when the dope was and i had $$$ for it plus to go drink w ith..but when getting sober....see ya!one friend sed 2 me.....and his honesty hurt at the time but so true...i can't hang with u cuz ur a reminder of what i'm unwilling 2 do for myself!ur so young and this good to realize u have a problem!the light really went on for me at age 28....i KNEW at 19 deep within me i had a problem but strugggled for years to control it....hell it was controlling me!I'm damn lucky i didn't hurt someone with my drunk driving in blackouts or myself and also lucky i didn't overdose with the combo of high amounts of alcohol/drugs in my system!......and gre8tful today for being committed to no drink/drug.u need a support group....give it a try...OK?
