confused, dissapointed, was my drink spiked?

hi, im not sure if i should be doing this or if im on the rite place. i went to a party on the weekend, and after a few hours, i dont remember a thing, apparently i was grabbing people where i shouldnt have been, which is NOT normal behaviour for me. i told eveyone that i hated them, i punched my cousin in face ( and by the way he is three times my size) i have no recollection of it, he hit me back , which i also dont remember,kicked my mum, and took off ending up in some poor old ladies house, they found my phone and got me picked up, mum came, apparently i told her she wasnt my mother, that i had no idea, who she was. i have tried to appologise to some of the peopl that i have been told i did stuff to, only to be told to **** off. i have sworn off alcohol forever now,hoping it wont happen again, i have suffered from depression for 10 years, peolpe think it my meds mixed with alcohol that made me do it, but i know its not, i feel so horrible, and have no idea what ot do. has anybody else had this happen, mum thinks my drink was spiked, i dont know.

Can't say for sure whether it was spiked or not, but it may have been a simple blackout.  Most alcoholics have had blackouts and I had a few myself.  You'll operate on auto-pilot and not remember a thing.

Did you drink a lot?  And how often and how long have you been drinking?

Whether or not your drink(s) was spiked doesnt really matter at this point.  You put yourself in a position where this sort of thing happens.  I hope and pray you learned from this.  This is one of the evils of drinking.  Your behavior that night was unacceptable and you know that so all i can tell you is our actions speak louder than words.  Hopefully you wont drink again and your friends will see that you really are sorry for what happened and are trying to turn your life around.  All the best         sara

i dont usually drink, i have heard today that there were a few other girls that cant remember what happened that night. as for my behavoiur, im obviously not proud of the stories im being told, but i didnt have that much to drink, i dont drink that often, maybe every couple of weeks i might have a couple of drinks but thats it. i have 2 kids to look after, and a hangover isnt something i would like to have while looking after them. hell yes im sorry for whatever i did, but honestly it has never happened before, and i definately wont be drinking again for it to happen again.i wasnt sure if i was on the rite site in the first place. but hey thanks anyway.

Hi. What you experienced could be attributed to alcohol, but if you only had 2 drinks, it is very likely there was another substance involved. Many drugs when mixed with alcohol can have a compounding effect, as well as when used alone. Its sad but true that there are some sick b&stards out there putting everything from arsenic to the latest date rape drug in peoples drinks and food. Its always a good idea when at a bar or party to get your own drinks and not leave them unattended. Leaving the alcohol alone can't hurt either. Take care, GM
