feelings

i have been drinking 2 to 3 timeas week about 30 to 40 beers for 4 years quit cold turkey feel paranoid and nervous alot is this normal how long will this last it has been 4 weeks

well done you,but you should of seeked medical helpto come off it just like that,you have given up something you relied on and quit it just like that,thats why u are feeling the way you are,if it gets no better and you feellike giving up go to see your docs for help,and well done.

First of all, congratulations for quitting, that is a big step and one that comes with lots of anxiety about breaking the addition. Alcohol was your crutch and now you are without it. The nervousness sounds like anxiety related to the fact that you did quit drinking. AA can refer you to counselors and therapists so you can seek some one on one counseling to make sure you don't fall back into drinking. Try to stay optimistic.
