question about blackouts

Hello I have a question its been troubling me since it happen..I drank about 9 drinks last friday and can't seem to remember after a certain point. I remember everything in detail ..drank my last drink and went home remembering everything until about 2 hrs later when I layed down to goto bed and don't remember is that just me going to sleep or is that a blackout? I'm worried something happend while I slept could it be possible if I didn't drink for 2 hrs before bed and remember everything?

a blackout is memory loss after a heavy drinking episode... ur walking talking or unfortunately driving and doing fine or so u think.......then u land somewhere and wake up later!yes i do believe it was a blackout!9 drinks?how many shots?straight liquor or mixed?how much do u weigh?what meds are u on?

I remember going to lay down and what I changed in to...I drank 5 drinks early in the evening then 5 more around 1 and went to bed at 5 wouldn't I have to drink right before I passed out? I didn't drink for at least 3 hrs and it was rum and diet coke...no shots

I didn't drink for 3 hrs before I think I fell asleep and I remember putting on my pjs and layed down...wouldn't that 3 hour lapse be enough to sober up?

WHOA!10 drinks in how many hours?and no shots just pouring in2 glass w/the coke?no the 3 hour lapse would not be enuf 4 u 2 sober up!plus having SSRI lexapro in ur system!LIGHTS OUT SISTER!google this.....the drinking wheel......it is a online blood alcohol calculator that has u type in ur weight.......time frame within how many drinks u consumed then ur blood alcohol level.in Ohio legal intoxication is .08...i will gather that urs was much higher than this!!!!

I did that I was .10 but I googled some stuff I think I would of blacked out way before if I was going to I was home for 3 hrs watching movies and stuff and was fine I also remember everything...then layed down and I maybe went to sleep but I can't find anything on that on google. I was totally fine could you still blackout 3 hrs after drinking and remembering everything till then?

yes u could blackout 3 hours after drinking and remembering a lot up until then.....i did it for YEARS b4 i got sober......drank so many drinks and did pot pills cocaine and assortments of thisnthat....it was NORMAL for me to drive with a .25 BAC!i had my first blackout at 14 and thought it a normal thing.....and had many thereafter!the Lexepro would also intensify the effects of the alcohol.

I've talked to a lot of people who say I wouldn't of blacked out that long after drinking, I was sobering up and wasn't even that drunk...plus it was over a 6 hour time period so I'm inclined to think it wasn't a blackout but thanks for your answer...

maybe the ppl u've sought advice from about the alleged blackout drink as much as u or more so their advice would not be that credible!.10 BAC isn't falling down drunk but it is intoxicated and add the Lexepro!the best of luck to u.....hope u don't get in the car and drive like i did when i was impaired.

I've had many black outs and it sounds like you had a black out.

but I have been reading on blackouts and it says you wouldnt recall anything I remember the whole evening and I stopped drinking 3 hrs prior how is it considered a blackout? I had 9 drinks over a 6 hr period

There is no accounting for why and when people blackout. It's not an exact science.  But you had plenty to drink, and anything could have happened.
