Quit drinking first, then tackle smoking. Drinking will kill you quicker and once you quit that then try to quit smoking. The 2nd two answers you got to this question were lame IMHO. My friend quit smoking and now she has the urge to drink even more and she said quitting cigarettes was easy..as long as she got her booze. She is developing health problems from the drinking and she is only 34.
THe drinking goes first without question. Unless you think you can do them both and kudos if you can. Also you will notice you smoke a lot less when you aren't drinking.
Chance
Many changes in genes are accidental. Cells divide and each time they do, they have to copy their genetic code completely. Sometimes mistakes happen. Many of these would be fatal and cause the daughter cell to die. Sometimes the damage is repaired. Some changes wouldn't make that much difference to how the cell worked. But they may take that cell one step further along the road to becoming cancerous.
easy answer BOTH are bad for you. but in small amounts alcohol can be very benificial to your health but "smoking" basically is worse as your lungs is for intake of air to keep your brain nice and clear. but there again you could live in a big city and inhale all the carbon chemicals and not smoke and have very serious problems. but to make the point of smoking you would be absolutly better off not smoking as we all know it "might "kill you. but it all depends on the genes and other factors. your best bet knock them on the head like i'm trying to do you will actually feel better and stronger after a while peace.
hi. as you know both are bad for you. for me, it was an easy choice. the smokes might kill me eventually, but my drinking would have if i had continued the way i was going. if your drinking has reached the point where it is causing you problems, i would recommend taking care of that first as it lowers our inhibitions in respect to other avenues of self destruction. i couldn't comprehend much more than staying sober at the beginning and sometimes that was overwhelming. it's best to deal with one thing at a time when possible when it comes to my alcoholism vs. everything else. if i drink, there is nothing else. for me to drink is to die. best of luck---gm
