urine testing

I just recently been told I have to do random urine tests. I drank today, how many days will it be detected until?

urine screens only pick up drug use.alcohol can only be calibrated by a breathalyzer.Alcohol depending on how much u consumve is generally out of the bloodstream in 24-48 hrs.

I hate to disagree with ibizan, but if they are testing for alcohol, the EtG test can detect alcohol in urine up to 80 hours after consumption.

The Alcohol ETG Urine Test is a biomarker test that detects the presence of ethyl glucuronide in the urine samples. Alcohol, when consumed, is metabolized by the liver i.e. when someone consumes alcohol, in the liver, a compound called glucuronic acid reacts with it and forms Ethyl glucuronide as a metabolite. Alcohol dissipates within few hours but ETG particles remains in the system for quite sometime and can be detected as an indicator of alcohol consumption.

oh ok!i work with the court system and they portable breathalyzers and urine for drug tests......if the test ur talking about is one where one has to go to lab/hospital and is xpensive i don't think our court systems would spring for it!learn sumpthin new everyday!

Hi ibizan and all...Ibi U are absolutely correct,you know what I have just been thru w/the shackle! PO just told me yest. I need to come in Mon.Tues (my normal day to meet him) and Friday. You know they r not doing and ETG test. It's either spit or pee! My guess is spit cuz thats what they have done in the past. Rest assured as U, ibizan, and I know...It's all about the mighty$$$$$ and unless they r making U pay for an etg each time (which takes days 4 results) it's the run off the mill test given to any addict. Including breathalyzers which they also give at any DUI course an offender attends. Don't drink! UR not supposed to, then no worrys..

thank u girl!most of the court systems i work with buy drug kits in bulk the cheapest they can get them.1000 dipstick strips for$.....as for the alcohol again most systems i work with use portable bac. machines......the cheapest route for ppl in bulk is the route i've seen em go!also seeing them use a mouthswab test for drugs......we may have to go to this for our heroin addicts program!

Went yest. 4 my 1st,yesterday,  since removal of shackle drug/alcohol test PO not there??? Hence told to go bk home and come bk next day...whatever.....PO came by my wk and told him what happenned..he said next time 2 tell them to do a breathelyzer (no female present so they can't do a pee test) went today got a P and a B test ( I say that count 's, as ,2 out of the 3 they want 4 the week) PO's out of town. I will go bk on fri. and most likely do a breathe test. It's just a little cylinder they squeeze and U blow into- if U have been drinking it shows recent use. It's no big deal don't worry just don't drink!!! They R not going to spend the $$$$$$ to test U if you have done it B4 the test time. But if UR in like my shoes are in..U should B sober and clean anyhow>>> Ulternative, ohnonono JAIL !!!! They are testting 4 a reason..so plz. don't B like the rest of the ppl who don't take this seriously and do not try to beat the system...They R not stupid TRUST ME!!!!!
