Allergy to fatty foods?

Allergy to fatty foods?

Hello,

Lately [for the past 3 months or so] I have been experiencing a bit of chest discomfort.  It seems to have begun when I developed brochitis, but it still lingers when I eat fatty foods.  I am a 23 year old female and I am a healthy weight for my size; Im 6 feet tall and 155lbs;I also usually eat healthfully. The chest discomfort I experience is not overly painful but it is there, its accompanied by a little bit of chest tightness mainly on the left side and sometimes accompanied by a faster heart rate.  As I mentioned before it is usually on-set by fattier foods.  Is it possible that this could be an allergy?
ps. I do also drink coffee which may contribute to the problem but it only seems to affect me with the addition to fatty foods.

Your help is appreciated.

Does not sound like an allergy. For bronchitis very large doses of vitamin B5 (500 mg. or more) help. It moistens the lungs and thins mucus and allows you to cough it up. There are no side effects.

Have you thought about gallstones?  I ask because this sounds like me and I had gallstones.

biliarydyskinisia.... can't even spell it, but I had it.  I had to have my gallbladder removed.  I was a little younger than you.  I was very healthy and a healthy eater, but anytime I ate anything with fat in it I felt like you described.  Research gallbladder disorders and get tested.  I had a lot of tests until they finally found it.  I had this test where I drank this stuff that makes you feel like you are about to throw up but you don't and then they scan your gallbladder.  Please don't give up after first test.  Gallbladder attacks are awful.  The gallbladder is the organ that deals with fat and if it isn't working right you will have a bad reaction to fat.  LEt me know how it goes.  Do not ignore.
