Blood on 4 year old toilet paper - allergies?

I don't know where I should be posting this question, but my every time my 4 year old son has a bowel movement, he gets blood on the toilet paper. I have taken him to the doctors 2 times and he has given me hydrocortisone cream with a cream in it for yeast infection. It has not cleared the blood up. I have read on the internet that it may be associated with allergies. The doctor said the next step is very invasive and he doesn't really want to put a 4 year old through this. Any suggestions?

I haven't heard of bleeding in correlation with allergies. But that is my thought!
