Breathing problems with Milk Allergies??

I noticed after drinking milk I seem to have trouble breathing and I have rashes and itchiness- I had a milk allergy when you but thought that I had outgrown it.  Is there anything I can do to treat this or do I have to avoid milk for the rest of my life?
thanks very much!

Hi,

You really should seek the attn of an allergist.  They will test for milk and/or prescribe an epi pen for this type of reaction.  It can be serious and can get worse very fast unexpectedly for you.  Having children with life threatening allergies, including milk at one time, we avoided it.

Your allergist will be able to help you ascertain when/if to try milk again .. right now with so much going on, it'll probably be hard for the dr to really know. If they want you to try milk again they will introduce it slowly in a challenge in the office so if there's a serious issue, they are prepared to counteract it.

Good luck and do keep us posted!!!
