Egg reaction

I'm unsure if I have had an egg reaction or intolerance to egg or either. Please help!? There was a period of roughly 2-3 months where I hadn't had eaten any eggs and one day I had breakfast made for me. Scrambled eggs, my favorite, but within 10 minutes of eating it I had this servere stomache pain. I just asuumed the eggs were old or my husband didn't cook it for long enough. I had scrambled eggs again a few months later and the same thing happened. The sstomach pains lasted a 2-3 hours both times and I swore I wouldn't have scrambled eggs at home again. I have been put off having my favorite quick and easy meal for approximately 3 months until recently I bought a brekky roll from McDonald's that had scrambled eggs in it. I didn't think anything of it and immediately after finishing it off I got tight pain in my stomach as if someone was squeezing my sides and back and front in all at once. It hurt when applying pressure to the spot that is underneath the breasts, in the middle and above the stomach. Is this an egg reaction, an all of a sudden intolerance or indigestion? Also, when I made myself burp, at times and not everytime I could feel pockets of air coming out and would feel a little relief. I took gaviscon liquid twice in a matter of 3 hours and with making myself burp the pain was gone somewhat quicker than the last episode. This seems very strange as this has come from no where and have never had any issues with eggs. Can u develope reactions and in tolerances as an adult?

Hello there,

I just finished reading your comments. Here are a few observations. Eggs prepared in any way produce gas.  Most people add milk to scrambled eggs.
Does your husband add milk when he prepares the scrambled eggs?
Also what do you drink with the scrambled eggs ? If the answer is coffee,
coffee may bring other issues . Do you drink coffee? If you do, do you put cream or milk into it ? Have you ever had any issues with milk ? Maybe you have a lactose intolerance.  Some people have trouble digesting eggs because of the gas they produce. Some people have a lot of problems eating eggs and then drinking coffee. Due to the fact that coffee has caffeine in it as does tea.  If you have never had an allergy test done by an allergist,
perhaps it's time for one. Then you could find out if you are allergic to eggs.
When I had my allergy test, I had to have a referral from my family doctor.
Also it's important to drink a lot of water. I don't know if you already drink a lot of water, but drinking a lot of water  can really help your digestion.
I hope my suggestions will prove helpful to you.   Eve
