I get "puffy" and uncomfortable after drinking alcohol

First off I'm a 28 year old caucasian male with above average muscularity and below average body fat percentage in case that helps. Recently I've noticed that when I drink alcohol some parts of my face get puffy(inside of cheeks, around the eyes) and the inside of my mouth feels really itchy. The first time it happened I thought it may have been a fluke so I just stopped and it went away after an hour or so(oh, and it happened mere minutes after drinking) and since I drink rarely because of fitness reasons I didn't think anything of it. That is until going out to dinner a couple weeks ago and I ordered a beer only to have the exact same thing happen...I'd heard from someone that allergies can develop at any age so I thought that might be the case. If it is is there any way around it? Would it make sense that only some kinds of alcohol would trigger it? Thanks in advance

Sorry this happened ... I don't know too much about alcohol and allergies but the trigger may be one of the ingredients ...
