My little girls allergies.

My little girls allergies.

I have a daughter that is a year and a half.  When she was about three months old she started to break out really bad, and her whole face looked like scabs.  We were told she had exzema (eczema)...Come to find out, she had allergies.  She was allergic to milk, eggs, peanuts, grapes, apples, and soy.  We of course werent giving her the eggs and peanuts, and the other stuff, besides formula, she didnt start getting until she was like 9 months old or so.  We at the time didnt know she had allergies, so we were giving her all this stuff she was allergic to, and I felt pretty bad about it, but I didnt know at the time, so there was nothing I could do about it.

Now, to my question...She overcame the soy and grape allergy...But when she got tested at a little over a year old, she was still allergic to milk...I was just wondering if there is still a possiblitiy that she will overcome the milk and stuff, just like she did the others.  I really want her to be able to eat everything me my husband and our son can have...

I feel like I have left something out, but I cant think of what it is, so if you have any questions for me, feel free to ask, and thank you so much for taking the time to read this.

Both of my kids suffered with milk allergies. My son eventually out grew it (not until he was in high school), and my daughter never did.

It can be hell having a kid with allergies. I know where you are coming from when you say that you want her to be able to eat everything the rest of the family eats, but in reality, that will probably never happen. She may out grow a couple of things, but not everything.

And don't be surprised if develops more allergies.

Thanks for letting me know.  Is there any known causes for children getting food allergies, even when they havent had the food to cause it?
