alcohol intolerance

When I drink I get a runny nose does this mean I have a alcohol intolerance and also is it bad if I continue drinking?

One thing that happens with food sensitivities is a delayed reaction, so watch the next few days, because you might start getting the runny nose then.  And, too, the skin scratch tests allergists use don't recognize food sensitivities, which is why food elimination diets are needed to help determine food sensitivities.

It could indicate an allergic reaction, if repeated episodes have occurred with consumption of alcohol. But looks like it is only occasional. It may help to maintain a food dairy and keep monitoring your symptoms. This will help to narrow the search and avoid them. Further allergic testing may be worth looking into.

What kind of alcohol do you drink?  Do you get it with wine or beer or mixed drinks?  If mixed, what kind?
