allergies, recurrent infections, fatigue, help!

by allergygirl79, Sep 28, 2009 09:51PM
I'm a 30 year old female who as always had severe allergies and asthma.  I've also always been prone to colds and flus, esp. anything respiratory.  In the past 2 years I've gotten increasingly sick, with chronic fatigue symptoms, fibromyalgia, severe interstitial cystitis, IBS, Polycystic ovaries, and recurrent viral and bacterial infections.  I've cut dairy and gluten out, and this has helped the fibromyalgia and fatigue significantly, but I still keep getting sick.  Have seen GI, allergist/immunologist, urologist,ENT and alternative medicine.  All the basic blood tests were mostly normal, although my thyroid and B12 were slightly low and have now been treated.  Full immune panel, including vaccine challenges, were normal.  Have 1 celiac allele but neg blood test.  Neg. for bacterial overgrowth of small intestine.  CT of sinuses shows extreme inflammation but not infection.  Bladder biopsy shows high number of mast cells.  Am currently trying a modified elimination diet for other food allergens and starting allergy shots next week.  I wash my hands a ton and eat right, exercise, but I keep getting sick.  Is it possible the immunologist missed something?  Should I try an endocrinologist or another specialty?  HELP!

what do you eat...most allergies start with food...

try avoiding common allergens for a week or more..cut them all out and add each one in separatly see how you feel

commmon allergens: wheat, peanuts, tree nuts, vinegar/citric acid, corn, dairy, soy

good luck
peace!
