a few years ago i suddenly had food allergies. my doctor said it was caused from an allergic reaction to a birth control. they changed my birth control but i still have the allergic reaction. what could be the common factor? i am allergic to carrots, avocados, bananas, and melons. not sure what i cant have. just know i cant have these foods.

Hormones can play a big part in allergies.

I personally believe that birth control or not, you would have developed these allergies regardless.

Are you seeing an allergist now? Is he the one that told you that it was the BC causing the allergy?
