lactose intolerance + biaxin xl

just got prescribed the biaxin xl 1000mg daily.
however im lactose intolerant
and aswell as lactose being an ingrediant, they also smell milky
should i request a different antibiotic do you think ?
or rather see how it goes, as i've had bronchitis for about a week now, and am not sure wether to just taken an imodium (immodium)
how soon does the biaxin get taken up ? like how long does it take to absorb
however im lactose intolerant
