sudden allergies after stopping dairy
Hi, I am 53 yrs old, healthy, vegetarian for 30 years and I stopped airy aboiut 6 wks ago.
suddenly I cannot eat food which is seasoned with paprika, melons, immediately my lips swell , it is terrible.

In addition I got a terrible allergy of itchy red dots all over my body after I was in the pool.

can that be connected to the stopping of dairy food? maybe dairy neutralizes??

Hello and hope you are doing well.

It may not be related, your stopping the dairy products and the allergic reactions. The swelling could be due to angioedema. This is swelling of the deeper layers of the skin due to an allergic reaction. The reaction occurs more commonly on the face around the lips and near the eyes. Therapy lies in identifying the allergens and avoiding them and antihistamines. An allergy specialist can help identify the allergens and may help to desensitize you..

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
