Hi,
What symptoms are you having and what does your CT scan report say?
If your allergy specialist or ENT specialist has advised you the surgical procedure you should talk to him/her in detail about it and then decide.
This is a minor procedure and all that your doctor has told you is right.
Let us know if you have any doubts.
Keep us posted.
Regards.

My family MD has indicated that I may need sinus surgery.
I have been told that Balloon sinuplasty is a minimally invasive procedure which has had great outcomes. Patients have felt great the day after surgery and have had no complications with excelent results.
Has anyone had this procedure?
Hi,
Could you specify what nasal sprays are you on? Are they steroid nasal sprays?
It would be advisable to get a CT scan of the sinuses done to know the extent of sinus involvement.
Also start taking anitihistamine medications like fexofenadine or loratadine daily for some time in consultation with your doctor.
You should also discuss with your doctor the role of antibiotics and a short course of steroid medications in yoour case.
This would help with your symptoms.
Foe the AC - you could sit as far away from it as posiible, try to keep the temperature of the room in the comfortable zone, wear warm clothes to make you feel comfortable.
Do keep us posted.
Good luck and best wishes.
Thanx for the reply .
CT scan of the sinuses has not been done so far . Only an X-ray has been taken .
From many people I've heard that even after surgical operation , nose bone can again become deviated . What are the chances for this .
Also I cannot avoid sitting away from AC environment , but I try to minimise its effects by having a seat far from AC . What else can I try to avoid Air conditioning . I guess I am becoming raplidaly allergic to it .
I am taking nasal sprays .
Plz reply .
Thanx !
Hi,
You would need a surgical intervention if the deviation is causing these symptoms.
Has a CT scan of the sinuses done?
You should ask your doctor for antihistamine medications, nasal steroid sprays, saline nasal drops and decongestants. These help in a few cases.
Also try to avoid the AC environment if possible - that could aggravate your symptoms.
Do let us know if you have any more doubts.
Hope this helps.
Good luck.
