My 10month old had an allergic rx due to food allergies (at least that is my guess). Ever since this initial rx about 2 months ago she continue to have flares and hives almost everyday and cannot eat anything (she is only drinking formulat). we had lab results that confirm an allergic rx. Her IgE is 148, plateletPlatelet associated antibodies Platelet count 610 and MPV 7.3. Compare to the average allergic case in babies where does my daughter's result falls and is the plateletPlatelet associated antibodies Platelet count and MPV abnormalities related to the allergy or is there something else I should be concerned about or seek help. We are doing the SPT tomorrow. Any lttle bit of information will be greatly appreciated.
Hi ! An increased platelet count could be due to many things, including inflammation or an acute infection.
You may want to consider googling "ELISA/ACT". It is a lab that helps diagnose allergies, especially food allergies and chemical allergies.
