10 year old swelling gland after eating

Two years ago my daughter experienced severe swelling in tongue and neck glands which required steroid at emergency room.  Gland swelling following eating again two weeks ago which Dr. treated with benadryl and steroid.  Then again it happened tonight and while I took her to Urgent Care, doctor didnt seem to worry as swelling seemed to decrease by the time I got there - only to return after eating again at home 30 minutes later.  

She suffered headaches and night sweats last night.  Has a rash on lower part of body.

How is your daughter? What diagnostic tests were done in the past? There are several types of food that could lead to allergic symptoms such as rash, swelling and even difficulty breathing. It is important that the triggers are identified in order to avoid them.Antihistamine medications may help with the symptoms but avoiding the trigger is important.  I recommend that she see an allergologist also for further evaluation.
