My 3 1/2 year old has had 4 ear infections in the past 3 months. He comes down with a normal cold but after a couple of days the congestion becomes severe then a few days later he complains of ear pain. When we take him to the dr it's an ear infection...different ears each time. Once the congestion subsides the fluid leaves his ears and he's ok. The congestion never seems to completely go away though...it just subsides some. Then he gets his next cold and we start over again. He currently uses saline nasal spray a couple of times a day. We did have a humidifier in his room but took it out as it didn't seem to do much except make the carpet moist. Any thoughts?
