Hi,
How are you? Asprin and acetaminophenAcetaminophen Acetaminophen 8-hr relief Acetaminophen caplets Acetaminophen child Acetaminophen children's strength rapid tabs Acetaminophen extra strength Acetaminophen extra strength cool ice caplets Acetaminophen extra strength gelcaps Acetaminophen geltabs Acetaminophen jr strength rapid tabs Acetaminophen pm are two different drugs. Serious side effects with aspirin are confusion, breathing difficulty, drowsiness, convulsions, skin rash, blood in the vomit and in stools can happen. In case of such serious side effects taking aspirin should be immediately stopped and should consult the physician.
How ever with acetaminophen side effects are less common and are not that serious. Most common side effects are vomiting, nausea, diarrhea, yellow skin, liver and kidney failure etc.
Rarely, ulcers or bleeding in the digestive tract can occur with acetaminophen, although it is much less common for acetaminophen than for other non-prescription pain relievers. Most people do not experience any side effects, except when acetaminophen is taken inappropriately or when the drug is taken in the presence of liver failure, renal failure etc.
I would suggest to get a complete work up done for liver and kidney and take the advise of the physician.
Out of the two acetaminophen is safe.
All the best.
