I took 3 Advil in the morning about 9.00am and by 9.30 my tongue swelled, I became disoriented, followed by nausea diarrhea and fainted at 10.
Went to the emergency, got saline drip in ambulance started to feel swelling come down  bit and received Benadryl and steroid injection and walked out at 3.00.

Hi, welcome to the forum, it is a type of allergic reaction (immediate type). Nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), including aspirin, diclofenac and ibuprofen (advil), are associated with an allergic adverse effects, ranging from mild rash to life-threatening allergic reactions. In such cases it becomes difficult to select appropriate pain killer. You had angioedema reaction.

It usually involves three types of attack like-
The skin (cutaneous attacks) - swollen tongue
The gastrointestinal tract (abdominal attacks)- diarrhea, abdominal pain and
The larynx (laryngeal attacks)- breathing problems

There are certain known triggering factors like drugs, stress, excitement, cold exposure, prolonged sitting or standing, and ingestion of certain foods. Hence, you need to avoid such triggering factor in future. Take care and regards.
