Allergie or infection?

by sapphire2119, Nov 06, 2009 09:06PM
I am suffering from red inflation in my inner thigh joining with the scrotum and in half of my scrotum. It is terribly itchy and painful, making walking difficult. Also in the innermost region of the thigh and scrotum it is almost bluish, as if burnt. It oozes out a sticky fluid and has grown very smelly.
Please help me out ASAP. And if you could tell some remedies or treatment for it, because i am shy to go to a doctor.
Thanks,
sapphire2119.

Hi Sapphire2119,

How are you? The presence of discharge, inflammation and pain highly indicates infection. This is usually treated with an antibiotic. It is best that you have this evaluated further by your doctor especially if half of your scrotum is involved. Do not be shy or hesitate in your consult. Doctors are here to help. Direct clinical examination and culture of the discharge are also important for proper diagnosis. Always keep the area clean and dry. Try not to manipulate the lesion to prevent secondary infection.
Take care and do keep us posted.
