Allergies/dizziness/headaches

A couple of months ago I have been having off and on headaches also feeling dizzy as the room spinning with lightheadedness. I have had a past of bad siniuses with two surgerys so I went to a head/ear/neck doctor he done a CT scan of my sinius it came back clear and good. He thinks he could be allergies. He also wants to do a MRI of my brain to rule out MS or a Brian tumor...that has me worried! The doctor told me to not worry more than likely not but they have to do it just to rule it out, everyone around me seems to think it is allergies! I have had allergies in the past as of with dust and really itchy eyes but never has it made me dizzy like this but I guess allergies can do that to you, has anyone experienced this?? I'm so worried!

I called the doctor and they said they had the results from my MRI and said that everything was normal so that is great! They are sending me to a allergist because they think it could be allergies so we will see, I just want something done because I get miserable,

Thank you for writing me. I went to have a MRI just a day ago, I hope it went okay. I'm figured if there had been a brain tumor or anything real bad they would had said something and sent me to the hospital. I haven't heard anything back yet. I do have headaches but my nose feels so stopped up to where I can't breathe out of it, I'm guessing it may be allergies, I don't want to have allergies but I would rather deal with that than to have a brain tumor or the disease MS.

Hello Memsw,

Welcome to the allergy forum. I see you joined Med help this month.
I get dizzy myself sometimes and yes it feels like the room is spinning.
I mentioned this to my doctor and she did a few simple little tests with
me in her office and told me I may have __________ vertigo, but it
is a certain kind of vertigo that is harmless.  There is another name
for this kind of vertigo but I can't remember what it is so I used the
long line in front of the word vertigo. I also get dizzy sometimes when I
am lying in bed, for example, and I roll onto my other side. I go to a
chiropractor for regular adjustments of my neck and back. My chiropractor says that sometimes dizziness can be caused by an ear imbalance.
I wouldn't be worried about your doctor suggesting that you have an MRI.
Your doctor just wants to rule out a brain tumor. One of the symptoms of a brain tumor I have heard are headaches. I don't want to scare you.
You probably do not have a brain tumor. More likely your dizziness may
be caused by an ear imbalance. Maybe you should ask your doctor if you can be referred to an ENT. ( ear, nose and throat doctor) . I hope something I have said in my post will be helpful to you. I wish you well.   Eve
