I'm not even sure what anaesthetics they use for this operation but I'm in the UK and as it is through the NHS it is not possible nor the done thing to contact a Surgeon or Anaesthetist in advance to discuss.
Hi,
How are you? Were you able to proceed with your ulnar nerve injury? Allergies may run in families but not specifically the exact allergen. Before any operation, there is usually a meeting with your anesthesiologist to discuss the method and anesthetics used. They also should clear you if you have allergy to certain drugs or if you have underlying medical condition. This is to ensure that the operation will be fine. Take care and do keep us posted.
