Allergy to Cipro

My wife has Cystic Fibrosis and is building an immunity to a number of drugs, the only one that the pseudomonas is susceptible to is Cipro. The problem is she is also allergic to it (she has horrible back pain and breaks out in a rash), does anyone know anything to help with the allergy or another drug that may have the same result as Cipro? Any help regarding the drug issue or has any words of wisdow about CF please let me know, by the way she is 34 yrs. old.

Cystic fibrosis (CF) is an inherited disease of the mucus and sweat glands. It affects mostly lungs, pancreas, liver, intestines, sinuses, and sex organs.
If your wife has shown immunity towards ciprofloxacin then other antibiotics like azithromycin can be tried.pls discuss this option with your wife’s doctor.Also sputum culture or mucus(from the mouth) culture should be done to find out the antibiotics which may show sensitivity or resistance to your wife’s immune system.Antibiotics which show sensitivity should be tried.
