Allergy to Fish Oil (Omega 3)

I had a reaction to fish oil. I am allergic to shellfish. I bought Country life. It says it has no shellfish. I did not go into shock, as I do with injected iodine. Just edema, body pain, headache, and rash. Where do I go frome here. It lists no harmful ingredients, including soy, which I am also allergic to. Maybe I am allergic to sardines and anchovies. I am taking fish oil for eye problems.

Shellfish include bivalve molluscs which have a hinged two-part shell (for example, oysters, scallops, mussels and clams), as well other molluscs such as whelk, snails, squid and octopus.It may be that you are allergic to the eye drops that you are taking or to any of the hidden ingredients in the eatables.

However anything can be said with confirmation only after allergy testing. Skin tests are used for this purpose. This test involves pricking, scratching or injecting food extracts into the patient’s skin. The skin will react with redness and swelling for those extracts capable of eliciting an allergic reaction when consumed.Other tests used are blood tests like RAST and food challenge tests.I feel that you should consult an allergist and get allergy testing done.
