Allergy?

About 4 weeks ago I woke up with a bit of a scratchy throat, it was more like the kind of scratchy feeling you get with hayfever, the only thing I put it down to was the fact that I get reflux at night, I get dreadful heartburn as soon as I lay down.

Anyway, its winter for one thing and I haven't done anything different to normal recently so I didn't think it was hayfever or like.

So anyway, I was like this for a few days and went to my Dr who examined my throat and said it looked like a throat infection in there - my palate was covered in tiny white spots but my throat wasn't, nor was it red.  But I had these tiny dots on the arches at the back of my pallate.  So I got given some broad spectrum antibiotics and throughout the course it got worse.  The feeling in my throat was the same but the other side started up.  This time I was also getting an itchy throat and tingling too, my tongue was coated so I went back and they said the antibiotics had given me thrush.  So I was put on Nystatin.  Still on it now 4 weeks later.  The spots "seem" to be fading a little bit now.  I have tender glands under my earlobes too.  I've just had some sort of cold along with this now and I just can't stop sneezing!  My nose has been running like mad and it has been clear.  My eyes have been itching too.

It seems I'm having hayfever symptoms (as I used to get it as a kid), but I have had a couple of viruses too at the same time, and have had thrush.  I've been taking probiotics and Nystatin and the thrush won't go away either.  I went back to the Dr and she looked at my mouth and said it was all clear.  But I keep getting these sore patches on my tongue, the back of my tongue hurts too.  I also notice patches on the sides of my tongue and on the inside of my cheeks but like that day at the Dr's they were not there because I had brushed my teeth.

My immune system as far as I know is fine, so I don't get why the thrush is bothering me so much.  I have recently had bloods taken and all was normal apart from a slight low white cell count.  I had an HIV test when I was pregnant last year as part of normal pregnancy blood tests.  All was fine.  I'm not diabetic.  I have however, lost a lot of weight very fast - I've lost about a stone in the past 4 weeks also.  I'm slowly starting to put weight back on but my BMI got to 15 which was scary.

Could this be an allergy?  Could the throat issue be nasal drip or reflux?  (I do get nasal drip, never known why).  Or does this sound like its all related to thrush?  My Dr won't really pay much heed to it, I went for a second opinion but I was then told it was "your body's reaction to stress".  (I have a history of anxiety/stress so they tend to blame that if they can't find anything else).

Hi!
Everything I suggest is always natural.
I'm either pharmaco-phobic or anti-medicine for some reason.
No, I actually  decided to take health matters into my own hands because our medical system failed me time and time again. So I studied  Holistic Health, Energy Medicine and Energy Psycho-therapy for years!
And now. I'm enjoying the best health ever in my life.

1. Extra Virgin Coconut Oil is the ultimate remedy for your thrush.
Do "oil pulling" 1st thing in the morning every day. Allow yourself  a little water but nothing else. Swish vigorously for 20 minutes -use about 1/2 a teaspoon of EVCO-  then spit out and rinse very well.  Your whole mouth hygiene and health will be beyond any expectation you have.
EVCO is anti-fungal, anti-viral, anti-microbial, anti-parasitic, increases metabolism,
does not get stored as fat, crosses the blood-brain barrier and fuels the neurons, and is the only oil safe (stable) in medium - high temperatures.
2. For acid reflux use organic, raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar. 3 Tablespoons daily, 1T before each meal. Your last meal should be 5 hours before bedtime.
Your body will probably love it. One of the top remedies for Gerd and acid reflux.
Also great for Alkaline-Acid balance and Blood Pressure regulation.

Don't trust anybody, don't believe anything, including this information. Do your own research before  you decide to use any suggestions.

Blessings

I suggest that you try gargling with warm, slightly hypertonic salt water (1/4 tsp in 6 or so oz of water).  I stick my tongue out as far as I can to get the salt on the back of it.

Thrush is a yeast and salt kills yeast.  This helped clear my last full blown thrush in fection and when started with the first signs of a new it got rid of it on its own.  My dr prescribes Diflucan for me.  It works really well.

I am sure the antibiotics caused your thrush, but acid reflux and PND can also contribute to it.

You really need to get your reflux under control.  Night reflux is a leading cause of esophogeal cancer as the acid sits in the esophagus more than during the day.  You can try elevating the head of you bed about 6 inches and not eating within 4 hours of going to bed.

Feel better.

have a blessed New Year.
