Am I allergic to my boyfriend ?

I have a question I would like possible input on.  I have already seen a Dr. and I'm waiting for the results to come back from the culture they took.  But, anyhow here is my question I have always been really careful during sex used protection with all of my partners and this new boyfriend I have used protection with until recently and I have seen his std tests that have said he is negitive and I know I am negitive as well. But, I have broken out in blisters down there and it happened in a short period of time from not using protection. I've heard its possible to be allergic to someone because your ph balances are different is this true?? If so would it or could it cause blisters in that area ?

Hi, welcome to the forum. Yes, it can be possible allergy but usually it is seen if there is a past history of allergy. The usual manifestations of allergy are rash formation with itching but blisters are quite rare. If allergy, it can be either due to atopic dermatitis or it can be due to irritant dermatitis. The allergic manifestations respond well to anti histamines and corticosteroids. If not responding then other causes needs to be ruled out.

Genital Herpes is associated with pain. Hidradenitis suppurativa is another possibility which is associated with itching, rash, and local sweating. Even folliculitis and bullous impetigo should be ruled out, which seen secondary to bacterial infection.
